Vida Divina Review – Is This Health MLM Worth Joining?

If you are looking to make some extra cash, signing up as a distributor for an MLM might seem like a good opportunity to you.

Not all MLMs are created equal though.

In this Vida Divina review, I’m going to show you if this health and wellness MLM is worth joining and if you can make any meaningful money selling their products.

What Is Vida Divina?

Vida Divina is a multi-level marketing company co-founded in 2016 by Armand Puyolt and Esther Ramos.

They are offering a wide variety of health and wellness products through direct selling. Vida Divina is an MLM, meaning the customers have an opportunity available where they can become a distributor for the company where their goal is to buy and re-sell the products to potential customers.

Vida Divina’s headquarters are located in Ontario, California, and they have 9 international corporate offices around the world. Their annual revenue in 2019 was $197 million, and they have also managed to keep A+ rating on Better Business Bureau.

This is how Vida Divina explains what their company is about:

Vida Divina creates products that people need to live a better life. Natural blends and unique formulas that can enhance the body’s abilities to cope with the stresses of a modern world and the lack of nutrients in today’s mass-produced food.

What Kind Of Products Do They Have?

Vida Divina has a wide variety of products in the dietary supplement category.

These dietary supplements include:

• Herbal tea
• Coffee
• Oils and Extracts
• Meal replacement shakes
• Capsule supplements
• Dog treats

Apart from dietary supplements, they also have skincare products such as lipsticks, oils, and creams.

Their flagship product is the TeDivina herbal tea, which is meant to aid in weight loss by cleansing and detoxing your body. This tea doesn’t contain any caffeine.

Cafe Divina is their another top-seller, and it includes a range of caffeinated teas and coffees that are infused with reishi mushrooms.

Reishi mushrooms are said to boost the immune system and have anti-cancer properties.

Are Vida Divina Products Any Good?

There is definitely a demand for weight loss products such as TeDivina tea since being overweight is an increasing problem in today’s society.

But do the products work?

We can get some insight into this by looking at Amazon reviews since some distributors are selling their products there.

Let’s check out the TeDivina Tea since it is their flagship product after all.

There is a mixture of positive and negative reviews which is understandable with any consumables. Not everyone likes the taste, and not everyone’s body has the same positive effects. Some people also reported negative side-effects from using the product.

Overall, the reviews were mainly positive which is beneficial if you are going to be selling these.

Something worth noting is that Vida Divina’s products do not have an FDA-approval, but they have an FDA-approved facility where they create the products.

Having an FDA-approved facility is great and shows some credibility but the products itself are lacking the official stamp of approval. What this means in practice is that the products do not necessarily work, and they have to refrain from using certain terms when marketing the products (this applies to distributors also).

This is why they have to add a disclaimer at the end of every product page saying the following:

VIDA DIVINA® MAKES NO PRODUCT OR MEDICAL CLAIMS. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Can You Make Money With Vida Divina?

If you want to start “working” with Vida Divina and sell their products as a distributor, you have to be recruited by a rep.

Now, you are probably wondering if this is the right thing for you, and that’s understandable because network marketing is not an easy thing to do.

First, you need a target audience (the problems start here).

The target audience is the people who you will be selling the products. In this case, they are most likely people who want to lose weight.

In MLMs, your social circle is often the first place to look for potential customers.

Think about how big your social circle is and how many of those people fit your target audience (as in people who want to lose weight).

As you can probably imagine, selling to your social circle is not sustainable because dietary supplements aren’t really something you are supposed to eat for the rest of your life.

You need to have a constant supply of new customers and this is where many fail.

You also need to understand the products you are selling and how will the product benefit your audience.

This requires you to spend endless hours researching the ingredients used in the product and preferably use the product yourself so you can effectively recommend the product to customers.

Before you can even start selling, you need to buy their products first so you can’t really make a quick side buck with MLMs.

Their cheapest kit is $135 and some of them even go up to $1,360 per kit.

Your main problem is that you need to find a way to sell a damn expensive kit you know nothing about to customers who will probably want to know everything about it.

Another problem with MLMs is that they typically require you to buy more stock in order to remain “active”, otherwise you will lose your team as in part of your income.

Not only you have to spend money to get started, but you also need to spend more money so you can keep your “job”. Does that sound weird to you? You are earning money and then giving it back to the company.

You are basically spending money to keep your “job” that doesn’t have any guarantee of income.

Does it sound like a good deal?

To answer the initial question about can you make money with Vida Divina:

Yes, you can make some money but it will not be easy, and it’s entirely possible that you will only lose money.

The risks of MLMs are rather high.

How Much Are People Earning With Vida Divina?

Vida Divina has finally published their income disclosure which reveals how much their affiliates are earning on average.

Here’s a snippet from the disclosure:

The average annual gross revenue for Affiliates is projected to be anywhere between $500 and $2,000. These numbers do not reflect the expenses associated with building a Vida Divina® business, which could exceed the commissions received.

As you can see, people affiliated with Vida Divina are not earning very much on average, if anything after the expenses are deducted.

The company’s vision is to provide everyone with an “unparalleled business opportunity” to achieve financial freedom, which is an admirable goal for sure. I just don’t see that happening with their MLM business model, which is very much against aspiring new distributors.

People who joined the MLM opportunity at the very start will surely make much more than what the disclosure states, but like with any MLM, an average joe will typically just lose money.

How Much Does It Cost To Join Vida Divina?

The MLM Business Model Is Against You

The problem with MLMs is that their business model is not designed for you to make money.

The harsh truth is that most people only lose money with MLMs, and I think Vida Divina’s income disclosure is a good example of this.

When you join an MLM, you often encounter these limitations and roadblocks typical to any MLM:

• The potential customers are often limited to your social circle (MLMs often lack proper lead generation training)
• You are limited by your geographical location
• You are expected to be brand loyal and can’t promote other company’s products
• Selling to your relatives is awkward and often breaks friendships
• Joining an MLM is often expensive and doesn’t guarantee any returns.

Some of these problems could be solved by moving over to the online space which many MLMs have done. But from what I have seen, these MLMs rarely teach working online marketing techniques. The go-to advice often seems to be “just go to Facebook and post these links and people will surely buy”.

Well, all I can say that pestering your Facebook friends to buy won’t work in the long run.

Is Vida Divina A Pyramid Scheme?

Vida Divina is not a pyramid scheme.

It is definitely more on the ethical side of MLMs and it also has a good BBB rating so far.

However, that doesn’t necessarily make it any better business opportunity for those looking to make some extra cash from home.

In MLMs, there are multiple layers of tiers where the profits are shared and part of the commissions you earn when selling products will go to your “uplines”.

The people who work above you as in your “upline” are the same people who initially recruited you and helped launch your business. They are the same people who will be taking a percentage from your earnings.

People who join at the launch of an MLM will be favored over those who join late to the party. If you happen to be late to the party, your earning power may be limited by an already saturated market.

Vida Divina Complaints

Vida Divina has a fairly good reputation without too many complaints.

Most complaints that I could find are related to the products itself and not how the company operates.

Probably the most common complaint was that some people reported bad side-effects from the products such as stomach pain. Others said the product didn’t work at all.

It also seems that some people are selling fake TeDivina tea on Amazon and people were obviously upset about that.

Is Vida Divina A Scam?

Vida Divina is not a scam but if you have no marketing experience, the chances of you making a life-changing income are slim.

Their income disclosure speaks for itself as the average annual gross revenue for Vida Divina’s distributors are projected to be $500-$2000 only.

This is just my opinion, but I believe there is also an ethical problem in being a distributor for an MLM that is in the space of health and wellbeing.

I see it that it is unethical and morally wrong to provide recommendations and sell health-related products if you don’t have any background or a certificate that allows you to offer health advice.

You could be responsible for an allergic reaction or worse if you do not understand the products you are selling.

This reminds me of another MLM called Optavia where the distributors were called “health coaches” and they were just average people selling meal replacements and offering health advice without any medical degree.

I would be careful with any health-related MLM, you will most likely end up being thrown into a world where you could have more to lose than gain.

Should You Join Vida Divina?

It is entirely up to you if you want to embark on this journey.

I hope my point of view has at least opened your eyes to the possible negative sides that might come with an opportunity like this.

You should know that there are way easier and risk-free options for making money out there than MLMs.

What’s A Better Way To Make Money Than MLMs?

Many former MLM reps are moving over to affiliate marketing because it is simply a better business model than multi-level marketing.

Here are some differences to give you an idea:

• I don’t have to recruit anyone
• I can promote any product, even from different companies
• I don’t have to buy inventory or handle customer service
• No face-to-face selling or pestering your relatives
• No confusing compensation plans
• Low-cost & low-risk online business
• Realistic potential to scale into 6 or even 7 figures per year range.

The affiliate marketing business also resides in the online space, which means there is an endless supply of new customers. It is also a growth industry rather than a dying one.
